What are the delivery charges and time frames for orders from the Online Shop?

When you purchase from South African Pantry Limited in store and online, you are purchasing from a family business that takes pride in sourcing exciting products from halfway across the world at prices that are realistic and affordable.

You can create an account and track your orders, view past purchases or create favourites to quickly place your order.

FREIGHT & PACKING CHARGES

Charges are calculated at checkout and is dependent on the type, size, weight and quantity of your order.

Our shipping time frames vary dependent on your location. Typically deliveries for North Island non-rural should take 2-3 days and for South Island non-rural, 3-4 days (from being shipped).

We dispatch to Rural and South Island addresses between Monday and Wednesday only, and we dispatch deliveries to the North Island between Monday and Thursday only.

Please note: We do not deliver on weekends

RURAL DELIVERIES: Please note if your order delivery is to a Rural Delivery (RD) address, Waiheke Island, or Great Barrier Island, further freight charges will apply. Please email onlineshop@sapantry.co.nz to confirm full / final delivery fees.

Which payment methods are accepted in the Online Shop?

You can pay using internet banking through POLi or through direct bank deposit*.

We accept all major credit cards for payment online. Your credit card details will be saved by our payment processor Stripe over a secure SSL connection and encrypted with AES-256.

You can remove your card at any time.

*Please note, for bank transfer, funds will need to reflect in our bank account before your items are dispatched.

How long will delivery take?
  • Orders received on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays will be processed on the following business day.
  • We aim to deliver your items as soon as possible but dispatch times indicated are subject to change.
  • Standard sized items are usually delivered within 2-4 business days (Rural home delivery will take longer in some areas).
  • Oversized items are usually delivered within 5-7 business days (Rural home Delivery will take longer in some areas). You will be contacted prior to delivery by the courier to arrange a suitable delivery day & time.
How secure is shopping in the Online Shop? Is my data protected?

We want you to have a safe and secure shopping experience online. All payments via our site is processed using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol, whereby sensitive information is encrypted to protect your privacy.

Third party services we leverage to process payments are done through their systems and we do not hold any payment specific details.

You can help to protect your details from unauthorised access by logging out each time you finish using the site, particularly if you are doing so from a public or shared computer. 

What exactly happens after ordering?

Once you have successfully submitted your order we will send you an order confirmation to the email address you have provided us. Please check your spam or junk folders in case our email has been directed there. To avoid this, we recommend that you add our email address (onlineshop@sapantry.co.nz) to your contacts list.

Can I cancel my order?

Unfortunately, once you have finalised your order and payment has been made, it cannot be changed or cancelled.

Are prices the same online as they are in store?

In most cases the prices you see for products online will be the same as the price of products in store. Prices are similar in-store and online because we want customers to enjoy the same great value for money from SA Pantry wherever they shop.  You will occasionally find some ‘Online Only’ offers which are deals exclusively available to our online shoppers.

Can I return a product I've bought online?

Yes – in most cases you can return products you have bought online. 

For a product to be returned under our returns policy, that product must be in a resalable condition unless faulty or otherwise defective. Some restrictions and exceptions apply.

Unfortunately, due to food safety and hygiene requirements, you cannot return any of the product category items listed below, purchased through SA Pantry Online:

  • Confectionery
  • Consumables (perishable products)
  • Jewellery

Unused and unopened non-perishable grocery items may be returned to our store for a refund or exchange with proof of purchase within 10 days.

If a product is deemed unsatisfactory, we can offer to exchange it for another one (ie. a different colour or size) or another product for the same value.

Proof of purchase is required in order to get an exchange or a refund.

I have received the wrong product - what should I do?

If you have ordered something online and received the wrong product, we apologise and you are more than welcome to an exchange or refund within 10 days of receiving the product. Returns policy
