Catering platters: collection only
Catering platters are collected from one of our stores. They are not delivered. At checkout you choose which store you would like to collect from, along with a date and a time. We need at least five days to prepare a catering order, so the earliest date offered will reflect that.
Collection times are 10:00am to 4:45pm Monday to Friday, 11:00am to 3:00pm on Saturday, and 10:00am to 1:00pm on Sunday.
Groceries: coming soon
Our biltong and droëwors are in the pantry and courier delivery for them is built and tested. We are finishing the last checks before opening them for online ordering, so they are shown in the shop but cannot be ordered just yet.
When they open, they will be delivered on the same courier rates shown below, and delivery will be free on orders over $150.
Alcohol: delivery only
Alcohol is sold by South African Pantry Liquor Limited under off licence 45/OFF/891/2026 and is delivered by courier anywhere in New Zealand. It cannot be collected from a store.
Delivery is charged at what the courier charges us. The price depends on where the parcel is going and what it weighs.
| Destination | Up to 5kg | 5kg to 10kg | 10kg and over |
|---|---|---|---|
| North Island | $15.90 | $28.80 | $41.70 |
| North Island, rural delivery | $21.90 | $34.80 | $47.70 |
| South Island | $28.00 | $53.00 | $78.00 |
| South Island, rural delivery and the West Coast | $34.00 | $59.00 | $84.00 |
Delivery is free on orders over $150. All prices include GST and every parcel is sent on a signature required service.
What happens when your alcohol arrives
Alcohol travels on a signature required courier service. Someone aged 18 or over has to be there to sign for it and to show valid photo identification. A New Zealand driver licence, a current passport or a Kiwi Access Card are all fine.
We do not leave alcohol at the door, in a letterbox or with a neighbour, and we cannot accept an authority to leave. If nobody is there to sign and show identification, the parcel goes to the courier depot for you to collect.
Rural addresses are worth planning for. A rural delivery box cannot carry a signature or an identification check, so a rural order may need to be collected from your local depot with photo identification.
When we can and cannot deliver
Our licence allows alcohol delivery between 6:00am and 11:00pm on any day. We cannot deliver alcohol on Good Friday, Easter Sunday or Christmas Day, or before 1:00pm on Anzac Day.
Alcohol is dispatched Monday to Friday. We do not send parcels over weekends or public holidays.
Alcohol and catering cannot be ordered together
Because catering is collected in store and alcohol can only be delivered, the two cannot travel on the same order. If you would like both, please place them as two separate orders.
Everything else
Other items are charged by destination, and the cost is calculated at checkout once you enter your address.
